When I first got an enquiry from Jem, I was super excited about planning a fun maternity
shoot for her and her husband, Nalin.
They both seemed like such an easy-going couple and were open to all my suggestions.
I knew we were going to get on well!
We decided to use Hong Kong as the backdrop and it certainly didn't disappoint!
We started at Man Mo Temple on Hollywood Road and then walked down Peel Street.
I just adore all the fun graffiti and interesting "art" that lines the streets.
We then caught the Star Ferry across to TST where we enjoyed the quintessential HK skyline.
Their little man is going to be making an appearance in early May and I just can't wait to meet him!
Thank you for choosing me...I just loved our morning together!
He's finally here and we couldn't be more excited!!
Sweet little man, Otto, made his entrance into the world on 8th February weighing 8lbs8oz...In Chinese culture this is ridiculously lucky!! :)
I sadly left for L.A soon after his birth but I was thrilled that his gorgeous mom, Bridie, was willing to wait until I returned to do his photoshoot! Can we all please take a moment to appreciate how smoking hot she is? 4 weeks after giving birth?! Just gorgeous... Motherhood really suits you Bridle!
I had the best day with them!!
Otto - you are such a blessing and I cannot wait to watch you grow up!
I really do have to pinch myself sometimes, when I think of how fortunate I am to do this as a job!
I get to meet gorgeous families and hang out with the sweetest babies...I am a very lucky girl!
My Sunday morning was no exception and while traveling on the ferry to Discovery Bay I was anticipating what the morning would bring. The weather has been absolutely dismal in HK and with awful weather comes awful light! I was slightly worried...
Luckily when I arrived at Jo and Mark's Disco Bay apartment, I was welcomed by their gorgeous open plan home and huge windows overlooking the ocean...a photographers dream!
The fact that their adorable 7 week old son, Dylan, was so well behaved and a total natural in front of the camera, was a huge bonus too :)
Thank you for such a lovely morning. I really enjoyed spending time with you all!
"A great adventure is about to begin!"
There is too much excitement and anticipation in the air.
Amy and Bailey's little girl is arriving in June!!!
I met this lovely couple a few years back and we hit it off instantly.
What a treat to be able to spend a gorgeous, sunny, L.A afternoon with them, capturing her tiny baby bump!
Their handsome boy, Blue, is going to be the best big brother!
He truly is the most incredible dog with the kindest nature - a true gentleman! :)
I cannot wait to meet her and am so happy that the stars have aligned and I will be in L.A soon after her birth to photograph her! Counting the days!
So much love to you all!
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Here's what a know for sure...Kendall Danielle Dees is going places!!
She is honestly one of the most poised, eloquent, head-screwed-on-the-right-way, teenagers I have ever met and I adore spending time with her.
We met when she was 10 years old, and even then I felt like she was more mature than me in many ways!
She has the most enquiring mind and the most beautiful, live-for-the-moment spirit!
She adores baking, reality TV, is a serious health nut and could spend hours in Whole Foods browsing the aisles of organic chia seeds! :)
She is a star athlete and a straight A student...like I said - GOING PLACES!!
Oh... and did I mention ridiculously photogenic?!
What a gorgeous girl...enjoy!
I don't even know where to begin...but what I do know is that little man D.J is just the sweetest soul!
I've been so lucky to be able to watch him grow up into such a gorgeous 2 year old boy!
It has been wonderful to watch!
These sessions are always my favourite...I just think it is SO special to photograph children naturally, in a setting that they are comfortable with.
No studio's. No backdrops. No cheesy grins!
I loved putting this together for him and his family! It will always be a special snapshot of him at this age...something he can have forever and even show his own children one day :)
